Sebastian Rosholt is the Managing Partner of MinterEllison’s Ulaanbaatar office. He is a transactional corporate lawyer with 14 years of relevant practice experience. His principal area of practice is mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance with a focus on the energy and resources, financial services and infrastructure sectors.

He has extensive experience in capital raisings and corporate financings, cross-border transactions, competitive auction processes, strategic investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, bolt-on acquisitions and privatisations. He has assisted a number of international companies establish their businesses in Mongolia and provides ongoing legal support for their business operations.

He is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and commenced his articles of clerkship with the corporate firm Bowman Gilfillan in South Africa in 2005 before joining MinterEllison in Sydney in 2008 where he spent 6 years practicing in the firm’s M&A team before relocating to Mongolia in 2014. He has been the Managing Partner of MinterEllison’s Mongolian operations since the beginning of 2016.

He is a past board member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Mongolia and currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Legislative Working Group of the Business Council of Mongolia.

Sebastian is qualified and admitted to practice in Australia and South Africa and is a registered foreign lawyer in Mongolia.
