Dear AustCham Mongolia’s Valued Members,

We cordially invite you to attend the 2020 Australian Chamber of Commerce Mongolia’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 17:30 on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Paris+Beijing Room of the Shangri-La Hotel, Ulaanbaatar.

(Entrance is complimentary and canapes and drinks will be served to all our guests)

2019 has been another busy and successful year for AustCham Mongolia and with your support we were able to achieve many great accomplishments.

AustCham Mongolia exists for its members and in turn relies on the support and involvement of its membership. On that account, we are very much looking forward to having all of our members to attend the AGM as it is a great way to conclude the year and welcome the beginning of a new successful year. At the AGM, AustCham Mongolia would like to introduce its performance in 2019, activities for 2020 and elect new BoD members.

The Executive Team of the Chamber will give updates on the following:

  1. Consider the 2019 Annual Report;
  2. Consider and approve the Balance Sheet and Statement of Revenues and Expenses;
  3. Consider the presentation of membership certificates to all fully paid 2020 members;
  4. Consider the announcement of Honorary Members;
  5. Consider and elect the Board of Directors for the 2020 year; and
  6. Consider other business (if any).

All members are welcome to attend the AGM, however, voting is restricted to individual members and young professional members who are listed as a primary representative. To ensure a quorum is reached it is important that voting members either attend the AGM or assign a Proxy.  The completed and executed proxy must be sent by e-mail to by 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

Board Member Nominations for 2020

Representing AustCham Mongolia and its members as a Director on the Board can be a rewarding experience.

To express your interest in becoming a Board of Director, please submit a Nomination form  and short biography to no later than 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2020. 

Your biography (up to 100 words) should include the following:

  • Your current position of employment and company name;
  • An overview of your personal work history;
  • A summary of your qualifications;
  • A profile picture;
  • A summary of your qualifications;
  • A brief description of your association with the Chamber; and
  • A statement of interest in becoming an AustCham Mongolia Board Member including an outline of how your contribution will strengthen the Chamber.

An independent balloting committee will screen nominations, confirm their validity, oversee the election process, scrutinise votes and notify members of the results at the upcoming AGM.
