ANZAC DAY 2021 – Greetings
Anzac Day Commemoration
Collective reflection and tribute by Australia, New Zealand, Turkey and Mongolia for the Anzac Day
It is “special” and “brilliant” to have the communities able to stand together this year to commemorate those who sacrificed their lives for our country.
We appreciate Australian Embassy in Mongolia, Defence Attache Captain Chris Smith, RAN from Seoul, Republic of Korea, Australia Awards Mongolia – Scholarships Program – AAM, Mongolia Australia Society – Mozzies Association, and Board of Directors of AustCham Mongolia for their time and heart to pay their respect for the ANZACs. Last and this year, at the height of the pandemic and associated lockdown, we continue taking a new (virtual) approach to honoring the men and women who have stood up for the countries of Australia and New Zealand and our freedom in combat.
We encourage you to continue to observe the ANZAC Day tradition from home by being together in spirit.
You can also watch the live stream of the dawn service from the Australian War Memorial in Canberra from 5:30 am (3:30 am in UB and Perth time-zone) and March in Canberra from 10:30 (8:30 am in UB and Perth time-zone).
Traditionally, representatives of Australia, New Zealand, and Turkey and visitors came together to attend the Anzac Day Dawn Service commemorations at the Choijin Lama museum in Ulaanbaatar to reflect and remember all the men and women who have served their country.
We hope such days will be resumed soon after the pandemic.
Together, we’re strong. Lest We Forget.
