Andrew Herod

I have lived and been working in Mongolia full-time since 2018 and a member of AustCham Mongolia for that time. Working at Transwest as the Operations Director keeps me in touch with the Mining industry and the government policy that drives the changes. I am very interested in keeping our industry at the forefront of the governments thinking and look forward to working with our members to table the important agenda to help with their success.

AustCham Mongolia has developed strong platform over the past 3 to 4 years in terms of outreach, influence and profile raising. Having been in Mongolia for over 10 years as one of the well-regarded lawyers in the market, with over 20 years’ experience at international law firms working in UB, London and Moscow, I can bring considerable experience to support AustCham Mongolia and its members in terms of both our positioning and advocating for a better environment for FDI, especially in the mining sector, where Australian companies are prominent. AustCham Mongolia can and should be looking to make a constructive difference at a policy level in the mining sector, and I would be delighted to count on your support to assist that effort.
Dolgormaa Bukhbat

I am the CEO of Bodi International (Bodi) LLC, which is one of the leading entities in Mongolian infrastructure since 1993 with 8 subsidiaries. BI is implementing complex engineering projects and businesses in the mining, railway, construction, and power sectors.
In 2023, Bodi celebrates our 30th anniversary with the successful completion of the Tavantolgoi-gashuunsukhait railway project. Several projects, such as the Buuruuljuut Power Plant, Tavantolgoi Coal Terminal, etc., are ongoing now.
In last decade, Bodi’s business operations are diversified and widened across several sectors. As a result, Bodi is looking forward to partnering with Australian companies to enhance the Mongolian economic situation in a comprehensive way. Some key personnel from the top management of Bodi Group are alumni of Australian top universities and they are keen to increase the business connection between Australia and Mongolia.
As an alumna of ANU, Canberra, personally, I am looking forward to fruitful business cooperation between Australian and Mongolian companies as well as to bringing world-class mining engineering know-how to the Mongolian context.
Dulguun Gantumur
Partner at Dunnaran & Patners LLP
Dulguun is a Partner at Dunnaran & Partners LLP, a local law firm launched by the former lawyers of MinterEllison, an Australian-based international law firm, following its exit from the market. Dulguun worked for MinterEllison for nearly 10 years.
He is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with over 10 years of relevant experience advising foreign investors on their Mongolian investment and operations. Dulguun’s expertise covers mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial, financing, regulatory compliance, energy and resources, real estate and licensing.
Dulguun is educated in both Mongolia and the UK, obtaining an LLB from the National University of Mongolia and an LLM from the University of Westminster.
Dulguun was involved in drafting AustCham’s charter, has been providing ongoing legal support to AustCham since its establishment and has served on the balloting committee for its AGMs several times.

Enkhtuvshin Lunden

I have been working for the AAM Program for 15 years, managing the overall operation of the Program, which includes scholar and alumni engagement, leadership program development and implementation, and linkages between Australia and Mongolia. I can continue to contribute to the success of Austcham via my extensive network of Australian Alumni, the Mozzies and experience with knowledge of Mongolian stakeholders in various areas of the public and private sector. All of these relationships can help to further strengthen the ties between Australian and Mongolian businesses through their personal and professional networks.
I am also willing to contribute more to promote Austcham in its CSR area, as it is my passion to contribute to society by leveraging my leadership experience and expertise in community development, business development and stakeholder engagement.

Through various companies, I have participated in Austcham since its inception in 2013. I have served on the Austcham Board since July 2020 and served as the Chairperson for Austcham since April 2021. During this time I have actively participated in Austcham activities including representing our members at many events, round tables, conferences, forums and government engagement opportunities on matters that are most important to our members.
I have chaired the board and the executive committee, initiated and established the business development committee and coached and mentored the management team to deliver on the chambers objectives. I would be honoured to serve our members for another term and continue to deliver on the vision we have established for the Chamber for 2023 and beyond.

Malcolm Wade
CEO & Chief Strategy Officer at Mongoljin Merchant Banking & Strategy Consulting
Malcolm is a strategy, finance & megaproject expert, who has extensive, hands-on investment and operational experience in Mongolia. He has lived / worked in Mongolia for the past 12 years and has been married to a Mongolian for the past 26 years. Malcolm has spent the past decade building Mongoljin’s merchant banking & strategy consulting business, in Mongolia. Previously, at Oyu Tolgoi (OT), he was responsible for treasury management, technical development of OT’s Fixed Asset Capitalization Model ($7.5 Billion). Malcolm completed his MBA in Strategy & Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), an MSc in Major Programme Management at the University of Oxford. Presently, he is writing his doctoral thesis (Oxford) on OT and foreign investment in Mongolia.
Malcolm is an active participant in the Mongolian Business Community. He currently serves on the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Board of Directors and he is a member of the AmCham & EuroChamber Banking & Finance working groups. Malcolm is particularly interested in promoting the success of the private sector in Mongolia.
Rena Guenduez

Rena Guenduez has a solid history of success as a technical expert and leader in managing international development and corporate sustainability programs. She has over 30 years of experience in the mining, oil, and gas sector, specializing in natural and socio-economic resource management and sustainability. Having worked in complex environments, she has dedicated her technical expertise leading ESEIA’s, CSR and Community Relations teams, while undertaking assignments focused on conflict resolution, ESG’s and Global Reporting for corporate clients. This is her 3rd time in Mongolia having set up a National Tripartite Council for grievance handling in 2009. She has previous experience with member-based organizations having directed and led the Peru-Canada Business Council in the early 2000. Rena is currently leading the Australia Mongolia Extractives Program a DFAT/AusAID funded program.
Identifying needs, meeting expectations, and building on collaborative partnerships are key to addressing an extractives sector environment that is in a national and global transition. AusCham can play a continued key role in addressing these transformations through knowledge sharing, updates on the latest industry trends and practices through the expansion of partnerships beyond industry and national boundaries.
Rahn Wood

Over 30 years of achievements in Retail, Commercial, Investment & Digital Banking including executive roles at prestigious financial institutions including HSBC (Australia, Hong Kong & Singapore), Vietnam International Bank, Techcombank (Vietnam), Saudi British Bank, Macquarie Bank, MasterCard and ANZ Bank.
Rahn’s contributions as an industry leader were recognised in 2001 when he was voted Australia’s eBanker/CIO of Year and he was made a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia) in 2004.
He hold Bachelors of Law (1992) & Economics (1987) from Monash University, Melbourne, completed INSEAD’s High Performance Leadership program in 2007/08 and in 2020 was certified as a Chartered Banker by the Chartered Bankers Institute (UK).
Rahn’s goals for AustCham Mongolia is to increase engagement in the economic and social development of Mongolia by leveraging the strengths of member companies and Australian government programs.
