Dear Valued AustCham Members & Friends,
2017 has been very successful with increasing awareness of the chamber resulting in increased membership.
It gives me great pleasure to thank all the members and for your continued support.
In addition to our members, I would also like to thank Ambassador John Langtry as our Patron.
The collaboration with the Australian Embassy has been a huge asset to the chamber.
2018 will see the chamber grow into a fully staffed chamber. With the revenue we received this year, we are planning to employ support staff to continue to provide growth and membership benefits.
Also, we hope to work with other chambers in Mongolia and also other AustCham’s in the region such as Hong Kong & Korea.
Please also take note of our new web page design and functionality. Statistics show we are attracting a growing list of new and return page visits and we have advertising spaces available on our home page to leverage off this. As a self-funded chamber we need all the help we can get to allow us the resources to achieve the goals that you set us and this is one more way we can help facilitate Australian-Mongolian business relationships. We believe this will provide increased exposure for your company or product to succeed.
As members of AustCham Mongolia we have a unique opportunity to add value and be part of something positive in this amazing and unique country. AustCham Mongolia gives you the opportunity to share your views on both the challenges and successes of doing business in Mongolia and joining with other professionals to overcome these challenges for the benefit of all businesses and Mongolia as a whole.
It is all our hope that the economy continues to show higher growth than expected allowing Mongolia to prosper and grow with the Australian and international business community. The IMF involvement will see changes to personal income tax rates and other initiatives to ensure that the country can become more self-sufficient for the Mongolian people. It is hoped that improvements in infrastructure, such as roads, schools, hospitals and of course air-pollution are on the Government’s priority list. In addition, we hope to see the new international airport open which should attract more flights with international investment being the key.
We look forward to your active participation in AustCham. It is your chamber, we can only be a success with your contribution and we listen to you, as well as, work with you to achieve the missions of both your business and that of AustCham. Please feel free to communicate with us to ensure your satisfaction.
On behalf of the Board of AustCham Mongolia I look forward to a fulfilling and meaningful year in 2018 with you all.
I believe this promises to be our best year yet!
