Intermed IUHW Hospital: Strengthening International Healthcare Standards in Mongolia
Intermed Hospital continues to advance its healthcare services through its strategic partnership with Japan’s International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW), operating as Intermed IUHW Hospital.
The partnership is supporting the introduction of Japanese healthcare standards, international best practices, advanced medical technologies and knowledge-sharing opportunities in Mongolia.
Key developments include:
- Advanced diagnostics and treatment – Installation of a 320-slice CT scanner and advanced angiography system for cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and vascular interventional procedures.
- Telemedicine and remote diagnostics – Telemedicine, teleradiology and telepathology services enable consultation and case review with Japanese specialists, particularly for complex cases.
- Japanese-standard health screening – Preventive health examinations are being implemented in line with Japanese standards, with selected examination results subject to review by Japanese doctors.
- Professional development – Mongolian doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals have opportunities to gain experience through IUHW university hospitals in Japan and engage with Japanese medical specialists.
- International accreditation – Intermed IUHW Hospital is Mongolia’s first hospital to receive JCI international accreditation, supporting its commitment to internationally recognised healthcare standards.
AustCham Mongolia values Intermed IUHW Hospital’s continued engagement with our business community and looks forward to further collaboration.
