About Nest Center
Nest Center for Journalism Innovation and Development (Nest Center) was established in 2020 with the mission to promote information rights through sustainable business models for the media, supporting a transparent and accountable flow of information between news creators and the public.
What They Do
Nest Center works in the following key areas:
They help media organizations and entrepreneurs develop sustainable business models, improve editorial practices, engage more with their audiences, and address underreported issues.
They run initiatives to improve the quality of information, help newsrooms strengthen accuracy, and support public understanding of news.
They establish student clubs at local journalism universities to prepare the next generation of media professionals with modern practices, including fact-checking and human rights awareness.
Fact-first Mongolia community
They build and support a network of over 20 local and Ulaanbaatar-based newsrooms focused on investigative reporting and public interest advocacy.
They also operate the Mongolian Fact-Checking Center, an official signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and the first JTI-accredited organization in Mongolia. The center promotes high journalistic standards and accountability across the media sector.
