About Mongolian Women’s Fund:

Mongolian Women’s Fund (MONES) was established in July 2000 with the status of independent, non-profit, non-partisan NGO.

MONES is the first and only national fund in Mongolia that is fully dedicated to mobilizing resources and providing financial support to girls, women and non-binary groups and NGOs who strive to achieve social change. Since its establishment, MONES provided a total of 877 grants, amounting to 2.6 million USD.

We partner with 174 women’s groups and NGOs across Mongolia in the following areas:

Enhancing bodily autonomy and safety by reducing domestic violence and gender-based harassment in the workplace, and protecting the rights of LGBTQI+ people.

Girls’ empowerment to secure their civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.

Women’s participation in decision-making by promoting good governance, accountability, and transparency.

Increasing women’s leadership in climate change and environmental protection through community mobilization and advocacy.

Movement building by strengthening partners’ institutional capacity, fostering collective care, facilitating linking and learning, and supporting emergency responses for women human rights defenders.
