Australian Chamber of Commerce Mongolia
Australian Chamber of Commerce Mongolia (AustCham Mongolia) is a non-governmental organization as contemplated by the NGO law of Mongolia. Since 2013, AustCham has promoted the interests of Australian and Mongolian business in the region which it pursues through business-to-government relations with the support of the Australian Embassy, Austrade, leading institutions, professionals and "thought leaders."
We currently have 70 Corporate Plus, Corporate, Company and SME members operating mostly in Mongolia. AustCham Mongolia also has close ties with Mongolians who have studied in Australia and are affectionately known as "Mozzies." Many Mozzies are now important business and political leaders in the country. The Chamber uses its ability to provide high-level interaction through advocacy providing long-term economic and social contributions we make to Mongolia and its people.
Through these opportunities, we develop knowledge and skill to advance and capacity-build the nation. Examples are found within the areas of trade and investment, business, government, banking, finance, sporting, cultural and education such as through the Australian Institute of International Directors course we ran earlier in 2019.

Our Role
By representing a broad cross-section of Australians and Australian companies, AustCham plays a critical role in cultivating Australia-Mongolia business relationships and meeting the growing needs of our expanding membership base.

Non-Profit
AustCham is a non-profit organisation which operates independently from government. It is funded entirely by our membership and Chamber activities. The Chamber maintains a good working relationship with the Australian Embassy in Mongolia and Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in Mongolia.

Our Members
We bring our members high quality commercial investment opportunities that are normally hidden away in country clubs or investment firms. Investors through Equity Street Capital get access to a diverse range of retail

Our Board
A Board of 11, who are elected by the membership, oversee the Chamber’s activities. Board members are elected for one-year terms at an Annual General Meeting held each March. Representatives of the Australian Embassy and Austrade also serve on the Board as Ex Officio Members, along with the Chamber’s General Manager. The General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Chamber.
